Meet Eric Flores: Central College Golfer
Our golf community is all about getting everyone involved in this great game we call Golf. Eric Flores is one of the many in our great community. We have given Eric the opportunity to introduce himself to all of you. So….. Meet Eric Flores, sophomore golfer at Central College in Iowa.
Whats up Bunkers Paradise Fam! My name is Eric Flores and I am one of the first followers of @BunkersPgolf on twitter. I am currently a sophomore in College playing at Central College in Pella, Iowa. I am originally from San Diego, Ca and I’m out in the Mid-West to further my Golf career. This year is by far one of the most competitive seasons in years as my coach was telling our team. We have plenty of talent on our team and we will see once tournaments come around who can really play under pressure. Our practice facilities are kept up pretty nice. I can hit balls or practice short game after classes or on my free time. Once tournaments roll around our team will show if we have the potential to be one of the top golf schools in the state.
I have come along way to get where I am today in my golf career. I found out that the toughest part of golf is not the physical but the Mental part of the game. If you are a decent golfer you know that you have the shots in your bag, but its always about executing. If you don’t have full commitment to your shots, they will never turn out the way you expected them to be. One of the best books out there to sharpen up the mental game is called “Zen Golf”. It gives the reader great practices and scenarios to help you have more confidence in your overall golf game. I have read it a couple times now and it has gave me great tips on how to become a better golfer.
I think everyone has there own opinion on golf clubs but I’ll give you a little input on what clubs I prefer. Taylormade Drivers I feel has the best feel once you make contact with it. I play the R11s and it has allowed me to control my tee shots better than my previous R9 460. Titleist has a edge up on taylormade woods just because the way you can shape your shots with it. But if you want to have maximum distance, I would go with the Rocketballz for sure. As for putters, Scotty all the Way!
Keep playing and this game gets a whole lot funner in the long run trust me!
Thank you Eric for sharing your experiences in golf with our community. We here at Bunkers Paradise look forward to hearing more from you and your team.
