Golf News: Tiger Woods leads at Arnold Palmer Invitational

Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by MasterCard - PreviewWell you wanted it and you got it!!  Tiger Woods has made his charge at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.  On a day when Rickie Fowler was dropping balls right next to pins and making a run of his own, Tiger Woods was out there doing the same thing but one stroke better.

Fowler had some amazing shots this afternoon dropping one shot literally inches from the hole for birdie.  Fowler ended the day shooting a 5-under 67.

Tiger Woods had his “Eye of the Tiger” look today.  Hitting balls of the tee and just picking up his tee like he knew it went right where he wanted it and for the most part they did.  Tiger ended the day shooting a 6-under 66 and is currently in the lead at -11.

Justin Rose, who started the day in the lead, ended up shooting an even par and struggled a bit but is only two stokes back of the lead at -9.

If Tiger wins tomorrow, not only will it be his 8th win at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, but he will re-take the position of number one golfer in the world from Rory McIlroy.  McIlroy decided that he did not want to accept the invitation from Arnold Palmer to participate, which is still a mystery to the golf world as to why.
