Golf News: Adam Scott Wins The Barclays | First FedExCup Playoffs Event

Tiger Woods made a charge, Gary Woodland tried to hold his spot, but Adam Scott walked away in New York with the title of Champion at the Barclays event that kicked off the start of the FedExCup Playoffs.

Scott shot a five-under 66 and had finished his round about an hour or so before the final group of challengers walked up to the 18th, including Tiger Woods.

Woods was charging hard until he fell to his knees with back spasms on the 13th hole.  Woods then came back with a birdie on the 16th and 17th and it looked like another “Tiger moment” was about to happen.  Woods then left a 25 foot birdie putt short on the 18th green, which allowed Scott to take the victory.
