Cobra Amp Cell Irons Review | Quick Look
Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve noticed the emergence of Cobra Golf in the last couple of years. With the addition of Rickie Fowler, and the design of the Amp irons and driver last year, there has been an incredible amount of buzz around Cobra Golf. I believe this excitement will go to new levels when golfers get a chance to hit the Cobra Amp Cell irons. These irons are long, forgiving, have good feel, and they look great. If you haven’t had a chance to hit these, quit reading this and do so now. (Well finish reading and then go hit them) Let’s take a quick look at these irons. Looks:
These irons look amazing. As expected from Cobra, the colors are vibrant. They didn’t overdue it on the color though, and they have a sleek finish. They have a white line on the bottom that helps with alignment.
Feel:
These irons feel awesome. On center hits, these have a forged feel to them. They have a distinct crisp sound on impact. They are forgiving and straight, but low-handicap golfers will have the ability to move the ball left and right.
Performance:
These irons perform as well as they feel. The long irons are long and forgiving, and you will feel like you are throwing darts with the short irons. With these in the bag, your GIR percentage should go up immediately.
Recommended For:
I would recommend these irons to all golfers. The forgiveness and distance will give mid-high handicappers the ability to find more greens than they were before. The workability will provide low-handicappers the chance to work the ball as needed, and have ample opportunities for birdies.
