Entering the Vault – Bunkers Paradise Visits TaylorMade at the PGA Show

Recently Bunkers Paradise had the pleasure of visiting TaylorMade Golf at the 2014 PGA Merchandise Show.  Every year TMAG pulls out all the stops for their exhibit and this year was no exception.  When you visit the PGA Show, there are certain things you have to visit and TaylorMade is one.  So let’s get into our visit and show you some of the new ideas that TaylorMade has for the future of golf.

In the vault we are played a short film and are introduced to some very futuristic Taylormade products. The M.O.A.I – mother of all irons and the M.O.A.D– mother of all drivers. Much like the concept cars you would find at any car show these are concept golf clubs. The whole collection brought to life in a 3D printer, making R&D as easy as pushing a button no matter how crazy the idea.  Take a look at these concepts below.

After the film I met up with the crew from TaylorMade.  There was a lot to see and the crew over at TM gave me full rundown on some exciting new hardware from the TaylorMade team that will be coming soon to consumers like you and I.

Loft UP+ is this years driver theme. The Slider 460 driver is the years early release and will be popular as always. A lower more forward CoG promoting optimum launch conditions with lower spin has even tour pros lofting up with a few playing as much as 12 degrees this year. The new Slider Drivers will be available with as much as 14 degrees loft. Another exciting feature was the new Slider 430cc driver for those that like something a little smaller visually. So loft up not down for more distance is the message from TMAG this year.

Tony also showed me around the Taylormade booth and the new Tour Preferred line up.  Bringing a strong contender to market again this year.  The new irons and wedges looked amazing and have a great all around feel.  If you ever wondered what the CB cavity looked like check out the bi-sected photo.

Inside you will also find Adidas, Ashworth and Adams all on display. The whole TMAG family all under one roof is a gear heads dream and the booth had it’s own range for custom fittings as well.

Needless to say if you ever go to the PGA Show, there are certain things you have to do and visiting the TaylorMade Golf exhibition is a MUST!  While you are there you you will be impressed with the pure size of the exhibit and the great staff.  Let’s be honest, who wouldn’t want to see the newest and latest technologies and then get to go try them.  TaylorMade is one of the best in the business at making sure you have a good time during your visit.

So what impressed me most?  I have to say the new Tour Preferred irons look absolutely amazing and felt amazing as well, but I was truly intrigued by the futuristic looks of the M.O.A.D driver.  Who knows what the future will hold with this new concept, but I’m excited to see.

Thank you again to TaylorMade for showing us around the most impressive booth at the show.I had a great time and the candy corn is in the mail.
