The Golf Gapper’s Ground Force Trainer Review | Feel the Power!
Most golfers, if they could choose one thing to improve, want more distance. Distance relies on the power of your golf swing. The Golf Gapper’s Ground Force Trainer will provide a golfer with more distance by improving balance and strengthening the correct muscles to create stability.
The Ground Force trainer was created by Dr. Jenni Martin, MS DC LPGA Class A teacher and club professional. She has been in the medical, fitness, and health profession for over 30 years. Over the past 30 years she has gained many certifications including:

Dr. Jenni Martin’s Philosohopy:
You have to see it, feel it, understand it and be able to physically do it, in order to make meaningful, pain free and lasting improvement in the game of golf.
I believe there is a “most efficient” swing for each individual. There is no quick fix or cookie cutter swing. Knowing your body, beliefs, limitations and goals and putting this information to work via tried and true exercises and drills via your learning style (visual, kinematic or auditory) is the best way to improve and enjoy the game of golf.
How does the Ground Force Trainer Work?
The golf swing needs stability in order to have distance and consistency. This training tool comes with a foam square, a swivel board, and a power pole. The foam square goes underneath the golfer’s leading foot (if you’re a right-handed player this foot is your left, if you’re a left-handed player this foot is your right). The wooden swivel board should be placed under the trailing foot. Before starting, hold the power pole as you would a golf grip. While keeping 60% – 80% of your weight on the trailing foot, slowly rotate into a back swing while keeping the swivel board rotating out. This will put pressure inside your right foot, inside of your right leg and right buttock.
According to The Golf Gapper, the disks will create this instability and causes a specific muscular reaction that mimics the sensation and strength necessary to motor learn the proper load in the back swing and feel the connection with the ground.
Doing this exercise 10-15 times a day while holding the back swing for 5 seconds, you will begin to see a difference in your balance and overall distance on the golf course.

Performance:
After graduating college and not working out 4 days a week, I have noticed I have lost distance and have lost control of my swing. For the past four weeks, I have been using the Ground Force Trainer every night. When I tried it for the first time, my right leg and my lower back felt tight and it was difficult to keep the swivel board from moving. I knew right away that my swing had not been balanced and I was not getting enough coil in my right leg.
In January, I was able to get on a launch monitor and determine my distance using my driver. The first week of using is the Ground Force Trainer, I felt like my swing was a little more stable out on the golf course. I had not noticed a lot of difference in my distance yet. But after the third week, I noticed an improvement. I definitely felt stronger in my right leg and I felt more of a coil. This has increased my balance and given me more distance.
Final Thoughts:
I really like this training product. It is so simple to use and you can do it almost anywhere. I used mine every night while I watched TV and it doesn’t take a lot of time! Out on the golf course I am more aware on my balance. This has helped me be more consistent and have more power!
