
Adam Scott on Fire at Bay Hill: PGA Tour News
Adam Scott finished Round one of the Arnold Palmer Invitational, Presented by MasterCard with a smokin’ 10 under par 62, tying the course record. Scott had two eagles and seven birdies while making one lone bogey on the 18th hole, making it look easy around the course.
Ryo Ishikawa, who uses Bay Hill as his home course living in Orlando, birdied the 18th for a 65. John Merrick is tied with Ishikawa, at 7 under par, he also shot 65. Gonzalo Fernandez-Castano recorded his best round of the year with a six under 66 on Friday. Brandt Snedeker and Paul Casey are tied for fifth after firing a five under par 67.
Bubba Watson hit three tee shots into the water on the par 5 sixth and made an 11. He shot 83 and withdrew citing allergies.
Scott had such an impressive round on Friday, who knows if he can keep it up and stretch his lead or could the field chase him down. Stay tuned this weekend, it should be an exciting finish.
