Stanford fired an eight under par 64 on Friday to take the lead. Sanford who started the day at even par had eight birdies on the day and not a single bogey in route to her low round.
Michelle Wie with another great round of golf (67) is alone in second at seven under par. Four are tied at six under par just two shots off the pace, they include; Hyo-Joo Kim (70), Inbee Park (68), So Yeon Ryu (70), and Cristie Kerr (66).
