The Players Championship round 2 Recap | Martin Kaymer still holding on

Kaymer continued his strong play on Friday carding a 69 to continue to lead The Players Championship. Kaymer sits at twelve under par, one shot ahead of Jordan Spieth. Spieth shot the round of the day with a six under par, 66 to close the gap on the lead. Spieth, still without a bogey in his rounds through 36 holes. Russell Henley is solo third at eight under par after a round of one under par, 71. Jim Furyk, Lee Westwood, Gary Woodland, Justin Rose, and Sergio Garcia are tied for fourth at six under par, six shots back of the leader.

There are another 10 golfers tied for ninth at five under par. Bubba Watson after an even par round is at three under par tied for 25th. Adam Scott just made the cut on the number at even par and is twelve shots back heading into the weekend. Missing the cut was Keegan Bradley, Phil Mickelson, and Patrick Reed.
