The Memorial Tournament: Casey leads, McIlroy implodes

Paul Casey fired a second straight 66 in round two on Friday to take a three shot lead at twelve under par. Casey shot and up and down round with six birdies, one eagle, one bogey and one double bogey.

Bubba Watson continued his steady play on Friday with a second round 69 and is at nine under par. Chris Kirk (70) sits solo third at eight under par. Hideki Matsuyama and Martin Flores are at seven under par, some five back of the leader. Four men are tied at six under par, including; Thorbjorn Olesen, Hunter Mahan, Ryan Moore, and Scott Langley.

Rory McIlroy after shooting an opening round 63 came back with a 78, six over par on Friday and some nine back of Casey. Phil Mickelson is tied for 37th at two under par, after a round of 70 on Friday.

Some notables not making the cut included Justin Rose, who called a one stroke penalty on himself and missed the cut by one. Rickie Fowler also missed the cut after two rounds of 75 and 70.
