12-Year-Old Girl Aces Hole and Wins a Car

For Natasha Oon, just twelve years of age, two very special things happened during a tournament: she carded a hole-in-one and won a Volvo XC60. Back Nine Network reports that Oon made the shot at the 40th RSGC Ladies Amateur Open Championship. Volvo’s Malaysia branch offered the car as a prize for anyone who could card an ace during the three-day tournament.

Natasha was oblivious to there being a prize, and the innocence continued when asked about what the shot looked like:

“I hit an 8-iron and duffed the shot,” she said. “It hit the top of the hill and rolled. The first one to tell me that it was a hole-in-one was my mom. The insurance guy told my mom.”

Though she can’t drive quite yet, she still gets to keep the car, her bit of fame, and the pride of achieving every amateur golfer’s dream. [divider]News of the Week[/divider]
