US Ryder Cup Team Pranks Rory McIlroy After Ryder Cup Win
After the first round of the Dunhill Links Championship, Rory McIlroy talks about things getting a little fuzzy after midnight of their Ryder Cup celebrations. Words like “Wig” and “Kilt”and “don’t remember” were being thrown around, but oh yes, there’s much more.
The story goes that US Ryder Cup player, Keegan Bradley invited Rory to come hang out at the US team room, which of course sounds fun after that press conference they just went through. Once Rory got to the room, security told McIlroy that Patrick Reed put a ban on Europeans in the room and turned him away, which irked Rory a little on his way back to the European team room.
Once he got there, he found the US Team partying with his Ryder Cup teammates. They all had a good laugh and then the kilt came out.
The time line sort of gets a bit fuzzy about midnight.
