2015 Sony Open Recap: Jimmy Walked Away with it Again!
Well as expected Jimmy Walker left no doubt that he was clearly not thrilled with his second place finish at Kapalua last week.
After posting a 62 on the third day to take lead away from Matt Kuchar, Walker would not slow down. The finished with final round of 63, with an overall 9 stroke lead against the rest of the competition.
Since the start of the “Wrap Around” season, Walker has participated in six events with three out of the six finishing within the top five. His win this past Sunday in Hawaii makes him the second person to have a repeat win at this tournament since Ernie Els performed this feat back in 2003-2004.
Once again, Walker is off to an early lead for the FedEx Cup. Let’s hope to he can keep the momentum as head back onto the mainland and maybe walk away with Major at some point? With the way he’s been playing there’s not doubt in my mind he’s a front runner for any of the upcoming majors this year.
