Winners and Losers: McIlroy Misses Cut, Jimenez Sets a Record

The summer is heating up and the golf world’s best were teeing it up the world over this week. With the PGA, European and Champions Tour’s all in action, there were plenty of great shots, big wins and epic performances — but there were also plenty of players who enter Monday wondering what went wrong. Here are this past week’s winners and losers from the world of golf:

Kevin Na: I know it might sound funny, but Kevin Na might be the best guy on Tour without a win — er, with one win. Yes, Na won the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Kids Open in 2011, but since then he’s gone winless despite having numerous opportunities in the last two years. On Sunday at the Crowne Plaza Invitational, Na blew yet another chance at claiming career win No. 2.  I wouldn’t worry too much, however. Already in 2015, Na has a runner-up finish and hasn’t finished worse than T-20 in any stroke play event since March — so he’s bound to close the deal sometime soon.
