Is Jordan Spieth the Greatest Putter Ever? l Bunker Shots

Welcome to Bunker Shots — Bunker’s Paradise offering of the best of the best that might have missed from the world of golf, social media and pop culture

Ian Poulter Thinks Jordan Spieth Could Be Best Putter – Ever.

Jordan Spieth has had himself a hell of a 2015. In fact, it’s been down-right historic.

At this point, Spieth is probably the best player on the planet — and he may be even once Rory McIlroy returns from his ankle injury. That is thanks in part to his outstanding putting this year.

Ian Poulter, for one, thinks this is the best that anyone has ever putt — ever.

“Statistically he’s the best putter in the game,” Ian Poulter told Reuters. “And he may go down as the best anyone has ever seen.”

Spieth is currently sixth on the PGA Tour in strokes gained putting, but his stranglehold on most putting categories borders on absurd.

Spieth leads in putting average (1.693), putts per round (27.88) and putts holed from 20-25 feet (28.85 percent). To go along with that, he currently ranks second in lag putting (1 feet, 11 inches) and one-putt percentage (43.79 percent).

“I don’t believe we’ve seen statistics on putting like we’ve seen from Jordan,” Poulter said. “If you look at the percentage of putts he holes from 25 feet, it’s remarkable. That’s generally the distance you hit it to when you are playing well. It’s an amazing percentage of putts that he holes and we all want that sort of putting stroke.”

Spieth had won four times this year already and will make his next start at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational in a couple weeks.

Creamer Gets Surprise Ahead of RICOH Women’s British Open

Being married to a pilot certainly has it’s benefits — but LPGA star Paula Creamer found out just how great that can actually be.

Because he’s better than all of us, Creamer’s husband and United Airlines pilot Derek Heath decided to surprise his wife by flying her to Scotland for this week’s RICOH Women’s British Open. As you might imagine, she enjoyed the moment:

Apparently, Creamer was so excited she cried — balled her eyes out, as she put it. And, as an added bonus, everyone on the flight got Heath bars (get it?), so all enjoyed their flight across the pond. Related: Creamer Plays ‘The Price is Right’

DraftKings Fantasy Golf Checklist: Double (or Triple) Your Fun

Ever since Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits sang about “Money for Nothing” in the late 80’s, it seems like that’s exactly how people want to get their money — for nothing. Well, on DraftKings, you can make thousands doing — and for — (virtually) nothing. Every week, there are thousands up for grabs in multiple entry tournaments — and that’s something you’re foolish not to take advantage of. The RBC Canadian Open is in the books and, unfortunately for Canadian golf fans, the streak of futility for their hometown heroes in their national championship continues. From a fantasy standpoint, all that moving and shaking on Sunday at Glen Abbey really shook up the DraftKings standings late in the game. Here’s a look at the player — good, bad and ugly — who made the biggest difference last week in Canada: Read More

So — Bubba Watson v. a Drone? Who ya got?

Well — that wasn’t much of a fight, huh? I guess this is some new type of skeet shooting we’ll be seeing in the future, maybe? Either way — I wonder if Bubba has to pay for that drone he destroyed.
