Southern California Golf Association released a web series “Celebrities in Golf Carts” which takes names and faces you recognize out of their element and onto the golf course. The web video series is incredibly fun as any golfer can relate to how small the game can you feel.
Mark Willard hosts the series with cameras both in and outside of the golf carts to fully encapsulate all aspects of each round. The videos come with exceptional production value, which can sometimes get tough given all the variables in an outdoor environment.
The series has a very “Sideways” vibe to it, with the humor that comes along with the struggles on a golf course. Any comedian will tell you comedy comes from a dark place. Ask any golfer and they’ll tell you there are few darker places than a golf course. This combination of incredibly charismatic people placed out of their comfort zone and playing the game they love makes for quite the enjoyable show.
