Round 2 Highlights at The Players: Rory McIlroy Shoots 64
Rory McIlroy bounced back on Friday as he put together an amazing eight under 64 in the second round of The Players. McIlroy started off of number 10 and shot a back nine 29 to tie the record set by Shane Lowry yesterday. The Northern-Irishman had a chance to shoot a course record 62 with a birdie on the 9th, but he settled for a bogey.
Plenty of other scoring action went on early on day 2 as Colt Knost matched Jason Day’s 63 with his own nine under round on Friday. Like McIlroy, Knost had a chance to set the course record, but ended up with bogey on 18.
