Gary Woodland and Wife Grieving Loss of Unborn Child
Last week, Gary Woodland withdrew from the WGC-Dell Match Play tournament, citing a personal family matter.
On Wednesday, Woodland revealed that the personal family matter was complications with his wife’s pregnancy, which was recently announced. His wife, Gabby, was carrying twins.
The complications tragically resulted in one of the twin babies passing away.
Woodland also revealed that the health of his wife and remaining baby will be watched closely by doctors through the rest of the pregnancy.
Here is the full statement directly from Woodland:

Nothing is worse for a parent than the loss of a child. Hopefully Woodland’s wife and surviving baby will be healthy through the remaining pregnancy term, and the family will regroup in due time as he said.
For now, Woodland plants to play at The Masters in Augusta next week.
