Tony Finau has taken the first round lead at the Farmer’s Insurance Open. He shot a 7-under 65 on the North Course at Torrey Pines.
Finau has finished in the top-25 each of his first three trips to the Farmer’s, including a T-4 last year. He started his day hot, making five birdies in his first eight holes. He ended up carding nine total birdies on his round.
He has come a long way from his days on the Big Break and the Web.com tour. He will look to keep up the momentum on the South Course on Friday.
