NFL Power Rankings: Ranking All 32 Teams Entering Week 7

Imagn Images

The NFL season is already one-third of the way complete with Week 6 officially in the books. Although this week’s slate saw all 14 favorites win outright, there were still plenty of wild storylines and entertaining games. Now that we have had enough of a sample size to get a better idea of each team, here’s how all 32 stack up against one another.

32. Carolina Panthers (1-5)

Jim Dedmon-Imagn Images

Carolina fell to 1-5 after a blowout loss to the Falcons. The game was within reach at halftime, with the Panthers only trailing by five points. However, they were outscored 16-3 after the break as QB Andy Dalton tossed a pair of second-half interceptions. Carolina boasts a -100 point differential on the season — next closest is the Jaguars at -65. Could we see the Panthers turn back to No. 1 overall pick Bryce Young when they take on the Commanders next week?

31. New England Patriots (1-5)

Brian Fluharty-Imagn Images

Rookie Drake Maye got his first start in Week 6 and showed some promising signs. The turnovers were to be expected (two INTs, one lost fumble), but Maye made some nice throws and had 3 TD passes. He also led New England with 38 rushing yards in the game. The Patriots aren’t going to win a lot of games for the remainder of the season. However, getting Maye reps will be beneficial in the long run. He gets his next chance in London when the Patriots take on the Jaguars.

30. Cleveland Browns (1-5)

Eric Hartline-Imagn Images

There hasn’t been much to cheer about for Browns fans this season. That may change this week, as RB Nick Chubb is expected to make his season debut in Week 7 versus the Cincinnati Bengals. Aside from that, it’s been a rough stretch for Cleveland. Deshaun Watson seems to get worse each week. The team traded its No. 1 WR, Amari Cooper, to the Buffalo Bills. Even if Chubb plays, it’s difficult to imagine Cleveland’s offense keeping up with the high-powered Bengals.

29. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5)

Peter van den Berg-Imagn Images

The Jaguars lost in London. That’s a sign that things are going terribly. They’ve typically found success across the pond, but not this time. Jacksonville got routed by the Chicago Bears, surrendering 35 points and 4 TDs to rookie QB Caleb Williams. Everything is going wrong for the Jaguars this year. QB Trevor Lawrence has been inconsistent, RB Travis Etienne has been completely ineffective, and their WRs have been plagued by drops. Something has to change in Jacksonville.

28. Tennessee Titans (1-4)

Andrew Nelles / The Tennessean / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

Tennessee’s limited offense cost them a winnable game against a division rival. The Titans held a 17-10 lead in the second half of their Week 6 matchup with the Colts. After Indianapolis notched a field goal to make the score 17-13, Tennesse’s offense shut down. They managed just one first down and 39 total yards over their final five drives of the game. QB Will Levis completed 16-of-27 passes for a measly 95 yards. He went 0-for-8 targeting star free agent signing Calvin Ridley. It’s not going to get any easier. Their next two games are road matchups at Buffalo and Detroit.

27. Miami Dolphins (2-3)

Paul Rutherford-Imagn Images

Despite all of their issues through five weeks, the Dolphins are just 1.5 games back of Buffalo in the AFC East. Losers of three in a row entering Week 5, Miami barely avoided a fourth consecutive loss in New England. De’Von Achane left the game with a concussion after three carries, resulting in Jaylen Wright (86 yards) and Raheem Mostert (80 yards) leading the offense. Jason Sanders hit three field goals through three quarters to keep Miami in the game, and Alec Ingold’s touchdown with 4:24 remaining gave the Dolphins the win. After their Week 6 bye, the Dolphins will now face the Colts in Indianapolis.

26. Las Vegas Raiders (2-4)

Stephen R. Sylvanie-Imagn Images

Davante Adams finally got his wish, as the Raiders sent the former All-Pro WR to the New York Jets in a trade completed on Tuesday. Adams will reunite with his former QB, Aaron Rodgers, and the Raiders will receive a bit of cap relief and a conditional third-round pick in return. Could Maxx Crosby be next to be shipped out of Las Vegas? It’s unlikely the team parts with their star defender — unless Crosby makes it clear that he wants to be elsewhere. Look for contending teams to call the Raiders for some other veterans. Wide Receiver Jakobi Meyers and Free Safety Tre’Von Moehrig (a pending free agent) could be next on the move.

25. New York Giants (2-4)

Kevin Wexler-NorthJersey.com / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

The Giants are 2-4 and near the bottom of the NFC East standings, but their last three losses were all winnable games. They’ll be kicking themselves after dropping a Week 6 matchup against the Bengals on Monday Night. New York’s offense looked rough early on, ending the first half with four punts and an interception. Mistakes burned them after the break. They failed to convert on 4th & 2 twice and kicker Greg Joseph missed a pair of field goals. In better news, rookie RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. has been impressive. The former wideout has gone over 100 scrimmage yards in each of the last two games.

24. Los Angeles Rams (1-4)

Gary A. Vasquez-Imagn Images

The Rams are playing without multiple stars and their season is now on the brink. At 1-4, Los Angeles is at the bottom of the NFC West. The undermanned Rams took a 13-7 lead over Green Bay late in the first half thanks to a Jaylen McCollough pick-six (on a miserable play from Jordan Love), but the offense was held to just six points the rest of the way. Coming off a much-needed bye and taking on a struggling Raiders team at SoFi Stadium, the Rams have no excuse not to be 2-4 entering Week 8.

23. Cincinnati Bengals (2-4)

Phil Didion/The Enquirer / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

The Bengals are playing with their backs against the wall. A 1-4 start meant they had to be (basically) perfect for the remainder of the season. And, their schedule is lined up nicely for them to make a run. It wasn’t a pretty win over the Giants, but holding a team to 7 points is a good step for a struggling defense. Next week, the Bengals take on a free-falling Browns team in another must-win matchup.

22. New York Jets (2-4)

Chris Pedota, NorthJersey.com / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

The Jets had no choice but to make a splash. After an infuriating loss to the Bills on Monday night, the Jets finalized a deal with the Las Vegas Raiders for WR Davante Adams. The 31-year-old wideout will reunite with Aaron Rodgers and add some much-needed juice to the New York offense. Speaking of the offense, it looked significantly better with Todd Downing calling the plays in Week 6. Adams will bolster the rest of the pieces, including Garrett Wilson who has struggled as the team’s No. 1 option. We’ll see if Rodgers and Adams can recapture some of the magic they had in Green Bay.

21. Arizona Cardinals (2-4)

Mark Hoffman/Milwaukee Journal Sentinel / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

Arizona was beat down in Green Bay from the opening whistle. The Cardinals found themselves in a 24-0 hole in the first half. The offense responded with 13 straight points to cut the deficit to 11, but it didn’t get any closer from there. It was a sloppy game at every level for the Cardinals. They were charged with 13 penalties and lost three fumbles. The Cardinals are one epic comeback against the 49ers away from being 1-5. It’s likely this team will be picking near the top of the draft again in 2025.

20. Denver Broncos (3-3)

Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images

Denver used a 16-0 fourth quarter to make it a game late, but they were mostly dominated by the Chargers on Sunday. Bo Nix was picked off on the game’s opening drive, and the Broncos entered halftime with 45 total yards of offense. Star CB Patrick Surtain Jr. was lost for the game early with an injury, and the Chargers pounced on Denver’s defense. Forced to pass early, Denver running backs combined for just 49 yards on 12 carries. The running game will have to be a bigger factor for Denver as HC Sean Payton faces off with his former team, the New Orleans Saints, on Thursday. The Saints just gave up 277 rushing yards in a loss to the Buccaneers.

19. New Orleans Saints (2-4)

Stephen Lew-Imagn Images

It was a roller coaster debut for rookie Spencer Rattler. The Saints were down 17-0 just 10 minutes into the game. Then, New Orleans outscored the Bucs 27-7 in the second quarter to take a halftime lead. Rattler connected on his first career touchdown passes with fellow rookie Bub Means during that run. In the second half, Tampa Bay HC Todd Bowles made some adjustments and made the first-year hurler uncomfortable. Rattler made some mistakes, but overall looked fairly poised behind a leaky offensive line. He’ll likely get another start in Week 7 when the Saints host the Broncos, as Derek Carr’s oblique injury is expected to sideline him for a couple more weeks.

18. Dallas Cowboys (3-3)

Kevin Jairaj-Imagn Images

The Cowboys got trounced for the third time at home this season. It was a dismal effort on both ends. Lions QB Jared Goff had his way with Dallas’ defense. Offensively, the Cowboys turned the ball over five times and were limited to three Brandon Aubrey field goals. Jerry Jones has come under fire for Dallas’ lackluster offseason — including the decision to ignore the glaring hole at RB. The NFC East remains up for grabs, but the Cowboys are arguably playing the worst football of the bunch.

17. Indianapolis Colts (3-3)

Steve Roberts-Imagn Images

Winners of three of their last four, the Colts have the appearance of a Wild Card team in the AFC. Joe Flacco got the start again and completed 22-of-38 passes for 189 yards and two TDs. The veteran QB linked up with WR Michael Pittman Jr. for a 10-yard score to take a 20-17 lead late in the fourth. Indy’s oft-maligned defense held tough in the second half, holding the Titans to 39 total yards over their final five possessions. Anthony Richardson is expected to return in Week 7 versus the Dolphins, but are the Colts better off with Flacco at this point?

16. Seattle Seahawks (3-3)

Steven Bisig-Imagn Images

Seattle’s encouraging start to the season has been followed by three losses in a row. With the rival 49ers and Rams dealing with a ton of injuries, the Seahawks had a great opportunity to build a cushion in the NFC West. Instead, Thursday’s loss to the Niners dropped Seattle behind San Francisco in the West. Seattle trailed by 20 early in the third quarter and a late comeback effort was unsuccessful. Seattle’s defense has surrendered 29 or more points in all three of its losses.

15. Philadelphia Eagles (3-2)

Eric Hartline-Imagn Images

Coming out of its Bye Week, Philadelphia produced another uninspiring performance. Facing a Cleveland team that is an utter mess, the Eagles scored just 20 points and nearly saw the Browns tie the game with less than four minutes to play. Over the last four weeks, the Eagles have failed to score more than 21 points. A.J. Brown’s return certainly enhanced the passing game — Brown finished with 116 yards and one touchdown — but Saquon Barkley (47 yards) was held in check.

14. Chicago Bears (4-2)

Kirby Lee-Imagn Images

Winners of three in a row, the Bears enter their Bye Week with a 4-2 record — and still sit at the bottom of the NFC North. Chicago dominated the pitiful Jaguars to secure its fourth win. Caleb Williams threw four touchdown passes and made only one mistake on the day. D’Andre Swift’s turnaround continued with another strong showing, while both Keenan Allen and Cole Kmet hauled in two TDs apiece. After its Bye, Chicago will head to Washington for a highly anticipated showdown between Williams and Jayden Daniels.

13. Los Angeles Chargers (3-2)

Ron Chenoy-Imagn Images

It’s early in the season, but the Los Angeles Chargers secured an important victory Sunday afternoon and improved their playoff hopes in the process. Following its Bye, Los Angeles jumped all over the Broncos from the opening whistle and led 20-0 at halftime. In the first half, the defense forced two turnovers and three punts. Meanwhile, Justin Herbert led the offense to points on four straight drives to begin the game. LA’s 23-0 lead was cut to 23-16 by the final whistle, but the game was never in doubt. Jim Harbaugh’s team should contend for a playoff spot in the mediocre AFC.

12. Pittsburgh Steelers (4-2)

Stephen R. Sylvanie-Imagn Images

Pittsburgh continues to take advantage of a relatively soft schedule. On Sunday, the Steelers faced a Las Vegas team burdened by the status of star wideout Davante Adams. Justin Fields looked a lot like the quarterback we watched struggle in Chicago — completing 14-of-24 passes for 145 yards — but Najee Harris had his way throughout the game. On 14 carries, Harris rushed for 106 yards and one score. Fields’ second rushing score of the game increased Pittsburgh’s lead to 29-7 early in the fourth and capped off a 26-0 run.

11. San Francisco 49ers (3-3)

Steven Bisig-Imagn Images

The Niners have had Seattle’s number for a handful of years and Thursday’s game may have been what the doctor ordered for the reigning NFC champs. While Seattle’s defense did its best to keep the Niners out of the end zone in the first half, San Francisco still managed to build a 16-0 lead — highlighted by a 76-yard Deebo Samuel TD. Even though the Seahawks made a late run, the Niners largely dominated the night. Unfortunately, running back Jordan Mason injured his shoulder and may be unable to play Sunday afternoon against Kansas City.

10. Washington Commanders (4-2)

Tommy Gilligan-Imagn Images

Washington’s four-game winning streak came to an end at the hands of a Super Bowl favorite. Facing their biggest test of the season, the Commanders put up a good fight in Baltimore, but ultimately couldn’t keep pace with the Ravens. Jayden Daniels had a good day through the air (24-of-35 for 269 yards and two TDs) but was unable to get it going with his legs. In fact, Washington struggled as a team rushing the ball. Baltimore limited the Commanders to 52 yards on 18 carries. Defensively, Washington surrendered 484 total yards and forced just one punt.

9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-2)

Matthew Hinton-Imagn Images

Aside from an ugly second quarter, Tampa Bay dominated the rival Saints to improve to 4-2. The Bucs took a 17-0 lead into the second quarter behind a Chris Godwin TD reception, a defensive score, and a field goal. However, three interceptions from Baker Mayfield and a punt return TD resulted in New Orleans taking a 27-24 lead into halftime. Tampa owned the final 30 minutes of play and outscored the Saints 27-0 to run away with the win. The Bucs are entering a very difficult stretch — vs. Ravens, vs. Falcons, @ Chiefs, vs. 49ers — so this win was very important.

8. Atlanta Falcons (4-2)

Jim Dedmon-Imagn Images

The Atlanta Falcons are the current leader in the NFC South, and after starting the season 1-2, they have won three games in a row against division opponents. Sunday’s trip to Carolina was a bit tougher than expected, but the Falcons pulled away in the second half thanks to a 13-0 run over the final 15:07 of action. It was a great day for Atlanta’s top two running backs. Bijan Robinson gashed the Panthers for 95 yards and two TDs on 15 carries, and back-up Tyler Allgeier galloped to a game-high 105 yards and one TD on 18 carries.

7. Buffalo Bills (4-2)

Chris Pedota, NorthJersey.com / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

Buffalo survived an ugly game Monday night against the Jets to take control of the AFC East. Buffalo held the Jets to three points in the second half, thanks in large part to two missed kicks from Greg Zuerlein. A win is a win, but Buffalo’s struggles on offense were pretty glaring. However, they wasted no time addressing these issues by trading for wideout Amari Cooper. In desperate need of a true No. 1 receiver, Cooper gives Allen a go-to option and thrusts Buffalo into Super Bowl contender territory.

6. Green Bay Packers (4-2)

Dan Powers/USA TODAY NETWORK-Wisconsin / USA TODAY NETWORK via Imagn Images

The Packers may be finding their groove. In their best showing of the season, the Pack ran all over the Cardinals en route to an easy 34-13 victory. Jordan Love carved up Arizona’s secondary — tossing four touchdown passes while completing 22-of-32 attempts for 258 yards. Collectively, Green Bay ran for 179 yards. A 24-0 lead was cut down to 24-13, but the outcome was never in doubt. The Pack amassed 437 yards and forced three turnovers on the day.

5. Houston Texans (5-1)

Brian Fluharty-Imagn Images

Houston is clearly the class of the AFC South and is well on its way to winning the division following Sunday’s 20-point win over the New England Patriots. Joe Mixon’s return to the field sparked Houston’s offense, as the former Bengal ran for 102 yards and scored a pair of TDs (one rushing, one receiving). A 14-7 advantage at halftime bloomed into a 27-7 lead less than 10 minutes into the third quarter and it was smooth sailing the rest of the way. The Texans have room to improve, but they will be one of the top contenders in the AFC when it counts.

4. Detroit Lions (4-1)

Kevin Jairaj-Imagn Images

Detroit is a very good team. The Lions entered the season with high expectations following last year’s run to the NFC Championship Game and they have come out of the gates firing on all cylinders. Coming off its Bye, Detroit waltzed into Dallas and obliterated the Cowboys. Jared Goff threw for 315 yards and three scores, David Montgomery rushed for a pair of TDs, and the defense forced five turnovers in the 47-9 rout. The loss of Aidan Hutchinson is devastating, but the Lions have plenty of talent on the roster and should be able to contend in his absence.

3. Baltimore Ravens (4-2)

Tommy Gilligan-Imagn Images

Baltimore’s 0-2 start has been all but forgotten at this point. The Ravens have rattled off four wins in a row following their shocking Week 2 loss to the Raiders, and now sit atop the AFC North. Derrick Henry continues to dominate in his first year with the franchise, as he added 132 yards and two touchdowns to his stats against the Commanders. Henry is leading the league with 704 rushing yards — 95 more than 2nd place (Jordan Mason) — and 8 touchdowns.

2. Minnesota Vikings (5-0)

Brad Rempel-Imagn Images

Before their Bye Week, Minnesota improved to 5-0. The flight to London didn’t slow down the Vikings’ vaunted defense. Taking on a dangerous New York Jets rushing attack, Minnesota held Breece Hall and Braelon Allen to just 36 yards on 14 carries. Aaron Rodgers was picked off three times, including the game-sealing interception by veteran Stephon Gilmore on New York’s final drive. Sam Darnold came back down to Earth with two turnovers, but the defense and Justin Jefferson (6 receptions, 92 yards) were able to carry the Vikings to another win. Following their bye week, the Vikings have a huge showdown against the Detroit Lions.

1. Kansas City Chiefs (5-0)

Denny Medley-Imagn Images

What year is it? Kareem Hunt rushed for 102 yards and one touchdown and JuJu Smith-Schuster caught seven passes for 130 yards in KC’s Week 5 win over New Orleans. For Kansas City, the wins keep coming despite losing multiple stars. Travis Kelce was targeted often in the first half en route to a season-high nine catches, as the offense finally seemed to find its groove. With Week 6 on Bye, Kansas City got an extra week to prepare as they head to San Francisco for a Super Bowl rematch.
