Zurich Classic of New Orleans Winners and Records |PGA Tour
The Zurich Classic of New Orleans is played annually in New Orleans, Louisiana; its historic date has been in April, but was moved to March in 2008. Zurich Insurance Group is the main sponsor of the tournament since 2005. Proceeds from this event are donated to the Fore!Kids Foundation.
Until 2004, the tournament had been played all over New Orleans including City Park Golf Courses, Lakewood Country Club and English Turn Golf & Country Club. In 2005, it was played at the TPC of Louisiana but damage caused by Hurricane Katrina forced the event it was held back at English Turn G&CC in 2006. It would then returned to the TPC of Louisiana in 2007.
The current purse is set at $6,800,000 with the champion taking home$1,224,000 and 500 FedExCup Points.
